Responsible for identifying, researching and summarizing legislative activity on healthcare issues which may impact our organization. Provide analysis of federal, state and local legislative and regulatory proposals to determine impact. Develop and recommend governmental relations strategies for the organization’s response. Act as a representative and liaison between company and relevant government agencies, trade associations and stakeholder groups.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manage, cultivate and maintain relationships with key legislators, their staff and other key public policy officials (state, local and federal level) to align government relations activities with objectives.
2. Conduct legislative and regulatory research in order to identify/interpret and track actions to determine possible impact on operations. Perform analysis and develop conclusions detailing impact. Inform appropriate staff members of conclusions.
3. Identify and target new business relationships on behalf of company Facilitate programs that could foster growth in governmental business.
4. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.

• Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
• Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of five years experience in government relations, legislature, regulatory agency or public affairs required.
Education: Bachelors’ degree in Public Affairs, Public Administration, Public Relations or equivalent required. Masters Degree highly preferred.
Superior communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build effective internal/external business partnerships; Ability to work independently; computer proficiency.
