TITLE: IT Auditor

SALARY: Range starting at 70k

DESCRIPTION: Document and evaluate the adequacy of both systems and internal control environments by participating in and conducting technical, integrated and application audits in a global client/server environment.

The candidate's primary responsibilities will include identifying risks and controls on technical audits, working as part of a team conducting integrated audits and monitoring new systems implementations to ensure that the proper controls are identified and implemented as early as possible in the development process. The candidate must be able to communicate the results of the audits and the SDLC reviews to both audit and client management. Workpapers supporting conclusions must be prepared. The candidate will be required to work as a team member, as well as independently, to produce strong audit results and maintain professional independence and sound judgement in executing all audit and other assignments.

EXPERIENCE: Five to eight years IT audit and/or IT experience, preferably with a bank or financial institution. A strong understanding of risks and controls within a technical environment is required, as well as the ability to document and test these controls. A good understanding of the SDLC process and internal audit's role in that process is also required. CISA or similar certification is preferred, but not required.

SKILLS: The candidate should have a good understanding and experience in working in and/or auditing technical areas including network operating systems (Windows server environment, Active Directory), client/server operating systems (UNIX (Linux, Solaris, Tru64, HP-UX), VMS), telecommunications, database management systems (Oracle, DB2), Storage Area Networks, Lotus Notes, A5 and Information Security. The candidate should also have experience in performing application and pre-implementation reviews and work as part of a team while performing integrated audits. A working knowledge of ACL and experience with automated workpapers is strongly preferred. Up to 15% travel.
