Manager, Payment Systems

DESCRIPTION: Provide overall project management support. Preparation of Business specifications documents, collecting requirements, understanding and communicating Money Transfer requirements with Business Users. Lead the project process and coordinate testing methodology (i.e. development of test scripts). Liaison with multiple teams such as interface team, DDA team for building Funds Transfer interfaces, project initiatives, and project priorities. Liaison with the Money Transfer software vendor to address design issues and/or system bugs. Provide project coordination and execution of testing scripts. Manage system upgrades and project requests as required. Provide daily support of the Money Transfer application for up to 6 Locations (New York, Los Angeles, Brussels, Dusseldorf, London & Paris).

EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems. Minimum of 5 years (or more) in the financial institution sector specifically in the Money Transfer area dealing with FEDWIRE, CHIPS, SWIFT, CHAPS, Euro Clear or ACH. SWIFT experience/knowledge of Money Transfer from both a business and technical perspective is highly desirable. Experience with Swift Alliance from both a business and technical perspective is a plus. Must be capable of supporting a 24 X 7, critical system production environment, Ability to work with various levels of business users, other IT staff and the vendor to resolve business and systems issues in a timely manner.

Knowledge/familiarity of Cash Management is a plus.

SKILLS: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required. Demonstrated ability to write and communicate requirements to business and technology partners. Experience working with technology vendors to implement product solutions. Computer skills: MS Office, MS Access, Visio, and MS Project, Windows NT, 2000. VMS experience is a plus.

Position may require occasional travel (less than 10%)
