Boston position

Senior Technical LEAD – to 150k+/-

Description

You will be a key player in ensuring that our clients are integrating our suite properly. You will be managing a small group of other technical consultants across many projects. You must be self motivated and self driven; you will be expected to manage progress of junior consultants and mentor them.

System integrations will involve XML messaging, web services (SOAP), ETL tools, and database techniques. Strong written and client interaction skills required. Result-driven development and maintaining implementation schedules are characteristics that will be important.

Ability to travel as needed to customer sites to perform on site troubleshooting and consulting engagements. This will start with 40-50% travel in the first 4-6 months for training purposes, then reduce to 10-25% travel, only as needed.

Educational background and professional certifications/designations will strengthen a candidate’s position. Bachelors Degrees in applicable fields, including Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, and Business (marketing, finance, etc.), should be highlighted.

Required Skills

· XML and XSLT

· Understanding of ERDs

· Experience in methodology-based solution delivery and managing customers’ expectations

· Problem solving skills and ability to recognize long term solutions across multiple projects

· Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

· Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to multi-task

· Self-starter, able to work both independently and as part of a team

Detailed knowledge of several of the following technologies:

· Tomcat configuration and optimization

· N-tier application architecture

· SOAP/XML and messaging software like MQ Series, Tibco, MSMQ, Sonic MQ and Open JMS

· In depth knowledge of one of the following RDBMS: Oracle, MS SQL Server or Sybase.

· Windows and Unix (Solaris and Linux)

· Knowledge of ETL Tools

· Familiar with at least one SCM (Subversion or Perforce would be a plus)

· Perl

Pluses

· Ability to read/write XSD and DTDs

· Extract Transform and Load tools such as Infomatica

· Financial services industry

· Knowledge of Design Patterns

· Subversion
