Reinsurance is a new and rapidly growing business which consists of 4 main business lines - variable annuities & life, traditional life, life settlements & catastrophe reinsurance. Each business line offers a unique opportunity for the firm to diversify & to generate significant revenues. The Reinsurance Technology team is tasked with developing solutions for each business line & for building out the overall reinsurance infrastructure.
ROLE SUMMARY:
The candidate is expected to work closely with the business and other technology organizations to deliver solutions to provide a solid technology platform to support the business as it continues to grow and to expand into other areas. The role requires strong technical and analytical skills, the ability to learn quickly and to adapt to the changing business requirements. It also requires strong communications skills because heavy user interactions and team collaborations are expected.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
-3 to 7 years of experience.
-Distributed system design.
-Relational database (Sybase, UDB preferred).
-C# .NET
-Java/JSP/J2EE.
-Working knowledge of Unix/Linux/Windows
Expected daily activities of new employee:
-Analyze new business requirements to determine technical solutions.
-Work with other technology organizations to leverage existing infrastructure & to develop new technology platforms.
-Enhance existing system to accommodate new business requirements and improve system reliability and performance.
-Rollout planning and coordination.
-Production support. |
