This Staff Electronics Engineer will work as part of a concurrent engineering team to develop power distribution/ conversion concepts and associated hardware on radar and sonar systems. Responsibilities will also include development, design and simulation of the power conversion system (AC/DC and DC/DC) and associated hardware, perform the stability analysis of the overall power conversion system, preparation of the power conversion system performance specification, provide technical leadership on in-house power supply programs for concepting, detailed design, and verification testing, support of In-House Power Supply procurement activities, evaluation of vendor designs, provide technical support at vendor sites, conduct prototype testing in-house and at the vendor site. As a minimum, this candidate will be expected to interface with customers, program office, systems, mechanical engineers, and operations personnel. Selected candidate will be expected to be knowledgeable in PSPICE and MATLAB, modeling of power supply components and control circuits. Documentation and reporting of schedule, financial and technical progress of all task responsibilities is expected. Selected candidate will be expected to work with drafting personnel in the preparation and release of engineering specifications and drawings for contractual and IR&D projects. Individual will be expected to support development of technical roadmap for group. Position does require the ability to generate original designs for low to medium complexity power supplies.

Candidate Must Have :
* DC/DC converter design experience
* AC/DC converter design experience
* Prime power distribution experience
* Technical leadership
* Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
