IN BRIEF: A FLASH DEVELOPER, CAN WORK ON LARGE SCALE FLASH DEVELOPMENT
PROJECTS.

strong Flash developer with strong web development coding skills (3-5
years total)(Javascript, DHTML, XML) and integrating web video streaming
technology (any) Strong communications skills, and experience with ONE
or more of these
required:
* Ffmpeg
* Ming
* Video Processing - server side and/or command line

Rate $45 - $50/ hr

They have a major project starting up, and they need a Flash and
ActionScript Wiz who can build large & complex Flash Applications that
are clear, well-documented and preferably object-oriented.

They prefer a person with experience
with video- video for the web and not. Video or Flash- streaming,
progressive download, etc.

Responsibilities
* Design and develop front-end video streaming interfaces
* Develop quality, front-end code following industry standards and
best practices
* Ensure that features are supported across a variety of web
browsers and platforms
* Update and maintain documentation in an organized manner
* Participate in application deployment and maintenance releases
* Communicate status and identify issues affecting ability to
complete tasks in a timely manner
* Maintain technical knowledge of industry standards, best
practices and trends
* Contribute to team effort by accomplishing results as needed

* Strong knowledge of JavaScript, DHTML, XML, Flash authoring and
Actionscript
* Actioncript 2.0 / Flash 8
* Knowledge of PHP, Flash streaming, Windows Media, or other
streaming technologies a plus
* Understanding of OO concepts
* Strong time management and estimation abilities
* Self-motivated and detail-oriented with excellent analytical
abilities
* Highly developed oral and written communication skills
* Must be good at debugging and troubleshooting problems
* Knowledge of XML / XSLTs a plus
* Knowledge of Flash Communication Server Programming (video
conferencing, chat, etc) a plus

Experience
Required:
* Actionscript, Actionscript, Actionscript!
* Experience with flash video/Flash communications server or
equivalent required
* Experience integrating Flash applications with other client-side
and server-side technologies (via XML, Remoting, and/or JavaScript).

* Education Experience: 4 year degree, BS Computer Science or
Engineering a plus
* Minimum 3-5 years working with JavaScript, DHTML, XML, Flash and
Actionscript
* Experience manipulating/handling Video for web a big plus
* Experience with VisualBasic, RealBasic or other desktop authoring
software a big plus
* Cross-platform issues

Experience with any one of the following required
* Ffmpeg
* Ming
* Video Processing - server side and/or command line

QA
* Performance Testing
* Understanding of browser compatibility issues
* Strong understanding of project lifecycle and intimate knowledge
with coding, unit testing and code review phases
