RESPONSIBILITIES: The Margin Department Supervisor monitors and evaluates the working relationships between the Credit-Margin Dept in Richmond,VA based "home office" which consists of 2-3 Teams of approximately 15-20 associates, ie; 2-3 Team Leaders and/or 15-18 Operations Specialists and the Private Client Group retail branch network located throughout eight geographic regions of the USA: 1.) Metro New England 2.) Northeast 3.) Mid-Atlantic 4.) Southeast 5.) Southwest 6.) Midwest 7.) Central 8.) Western. Responsible for reviewing daily exception reports to identify accounts with potential stock market risk and accounts causing exceptional company risk. Instruct associates on how to resolve elevated critical problems concerning client transactions. Identifies and leads department initiatives and other special projects. Assists the manager with budgeting, forecasting, load balancing and ensuring department infrastructure balance.

REQUIREMENTS: Minimum five (5) years Brokerage Operations experience. Strong management and organizational skills required, with at least three (3) years of Margin Department experience. Series 7 preferred, or ability to acquire. Demonstrated strong knowledge of general principles that govern brokerage accounts which trade on margin, ie; equities, bonds, naked options (derivatives) etc; that invest on a margin basis. Strong understanding of brokerage operations core processes ie; ACATS, REORG, Cash Management etc; including strong knowledge of FRB Regulation-T, Rule 431, NYSE-standard margin requirements and brokerage firm-standard (House) margin requirements. A strong working knowledge of Thompson BETA Systems, Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word, and Excel experience is preferred. Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills required. Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure while maintaining a professional attitude at all times. Must monitor department and associate success at meeting goals. Demonstrated ability to motivate and mentor associates.

Candidate Must Have :
* At least 5 years of Brokerage Operations Experience
* 3 Years of Margin Department experience
* Demonstrated experience with all brokerage ops core processes
* Series 7 is desired
* Experience with Beta is preferred
