PAID RELOCATION/VISA TRANSFERS AVAILABLE
You will be responsible for inventing and developing new structural adhesives for wood bonding applications. This will involve engineered wood products and structural insulated panels. You will be expected to design, conduct and analyze experiments. You will scale up new products from lab scale to manufacturing scale. You will interface with customer’s to identify unmet needs and you will participate in consortia of various types. Travel up to 10% is required.

To qualify you will need the following:
• Doctor of Philosophy (PHD) • 5 + years of industrial experience in research and development.
• Must have experience in research and development on structural, wood-bonding adhesives.
• The candidate's experience should include work in both phenolic and urethane chemistries.
• Must have knowledge of building codes testing protocols such as ASTM, D5055, D5456, CSA0112.9.
• Must have a track record of successful commercialization of new products starting at a lab scale and following through to full manufacturing.
• Must be familiar with regulatory requirements and industrial standards for structural, wood-bonding adhesives is an advantage.
• Experience interacting with building & construction trade associations and academic consortia is also an advantage.
• Must be able to plan and analyze statistically designed experiments.
• Must be able to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
• Must have the ability to manage large cross-functional teams to achieve timelines and project goals is required.
• Applicant must be authorized to work in the United States.

Candidate Must Have :
* Experience with Engineered Wood & Insulated Panels
* Must know ASTM, D5055, D5456, CSA0112.9
* Urethane Chemistry experience a plus
