Systems Engineer Principal position is available to provide the technical leadership of an integral team that will be responsible for the development of Radar System products. Candidates for this position must possess significant experience in the analysis, design and development of airborne surveillance, ground-based, or fire control radars systems. Provide technical mentoring to team members and technical guidance to subcontractors. Perform requirements analysis, architecture definition, algorithm development and system design trade studies for radar systems. Strong presentation and interpersonal communications skills are required, as is experience in providing technical leadership on a cross-disciplined program. This individual must possess the ability to effectively lead project teams, develop solutions to technical problems, define plans, organize tasks, and mentor employees. Must be capable of working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and have successful experience interacting with and supporting other Product Teams, management, and customers. Experience with radar front end design, performance analysis, active phased array radars, adaptive processing techniques, antenna design, clutter / environment impacts on radar performance and / or target discrimination techniques is desired. Candidate is considered to be a Subject Matter Expert in one of these areas. Candidate is considered to be the most senior authority in the applied discipline that will provide technical, schedule and budget solutions to complex problems across a product line. Candidates must possess a strong ability to develop schedules, identify critical path, estimate cost, plan staffing, and develop risk mitigation plans. This individual will be responsible to ensure that the design, development, integration and test activities for the radar are compliant with the program and technical requirements. Experience in the development or enhancement of radar systems is required. Solid leadership skills are required with the ability to build and motivate the team to complete a quality technical project within cost and on schedule. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential both within, and outside of, the project team. Some domestic and international travel may be required.
