PAID RELOCATION
Experienced pension accountant with in depth knowledge of pension accounting. Four to five years of public accounting experience is highly preferred. Knowledge of pertinent FASB standards is required; ie., SFAS #35, #87, #88, #106, #112 and #132R, as well as AICPA guidance; ie., AICPA Audit and Accounting Guide, SOP 99-2, and SOP 01-2. Excellent communication skills are required. Interface with and presentation to CHQ Accounting and Treasury management is required, as well as country CFOs, actuaries, accounting management and legal staff. Must develop thorough knowledge and understanding of company's Accounting Instructions, Practices and SARBOX internal controls compliance. Responsible for 4th quarter review of worldwide pensions assumptions. Gather pertinent data, such as ROA, CPI, Salary Increase Program, COLA, mortality table. Understand Legal impacts, Plan changes, population demographics and Watson Wyatt Annual Review of Pension Assumptions. Review as needed with country pension teams, country CFOs, regional chief accountants and assure required and documented approval by country and geography accounting management. Responsible for year end and 10Q external reporting. Work with country pensions year-end and 10Q external reporting, performing analyses assuring period to period and assumption impacts, and implications are explained. Accountable for ensuring the interrelated moving parts of balance sheet, deferrals and actuarial valuations all tie together. Provide assistance with U. S. regulatory filing requirements (5500/PBGC) and treasury support in evaluating ongoing funding status (usually 2nd half of year).

Candidate Must Have :
* BS Degree - Accounting
* Solid knowledge of relevant FASB standards, AICPA guidance
* Sarbanes Oxley Internal Controls Compliance Knowledge
* Excellent communication skills
CPA or CMA certification is a major plus
Will pay relo if they live outside of a 50 mile radius of Somers, and relocate to within 50 miles.
