This individual will be a member of the IT Information Security team based out of Farmingdale, Long Island, NY and will perform IT security analysis and support for various aspects of Client’s technical operations, focusing on areas including security infrastructure, application security, and IT compliance. The responsibilities of this position will be as follows: Lead projects to implement new security infrastructure projects. Manage various aspects of the Client security infrastructure including applications such as McAfee ePO, McAfee IntruShield, BigFix Enterprise, Microsoft WSUS, Websense, Active Directory Group Policy, etc. Assist with IT Compliance activities as necessary including internal and external IT audits by working with other technical resources to collect the required information and to perform any required analysis and testing for the audit. Perform security risk assessments for new Client initiatives. Perform vulnerability assessments on new systems and applications using various security tools, working with system owners to resolve identified issues. Manage security incident response efforts by monitoring security tools and taking action where necessary to resolve security issues, such as virus infections. Provide periodic IT security support during off-hours on a rotating support schedule. Effectively manage projects and complete the required documentation, adhering to Client’s phase-gated project lifecycle. Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a related field such as Business Information Systems, Computer Science, etc. or equivalent experience. • 3-5 years of direct IT Information Security experience in one or more of the following areas: Microsoft Security, Antivirus, Intrusion Detection, Application Security, Risk Assessment Services, IT Compliance, etc. • Relevant security certifications, while not required, are desirable. • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. • Must be very detail-oriented and organized. • Must be a self-starter, be enthusiastic, have a strong work ethic, and be a team player.
