Position		Job Description
Voice Support		Provide technical support for personnel in the trouble shooting of voice service problems. This includes both hardware and transport facilities. Perform installation of voice products and services at user workstations. Perform capacity planning and reporting for deployed systems including the regular issuance of performance improvement recommendations under the guidance of NY Senior Mangaement. Implement voice infrastructure changes as business needs evolve. Preparation of all system configuration documentation. Past experience with Nortel voice products.
Turret Support		Provide technical support for personnel in the trouble shooting of turret service problems supporting Energy Trading environment. This includes both hardware and transport facilities. Perform installation of Turret products and services at user workstations. Perform capacity planning and reporting for deployed systems including the regular issuance of performance improvement recommendations under the guidance of NY Senior Mangaement. Implement turret infrastructure changes as business needs evolve. Preparation of all system configuration documentation. Past experience with IPC turret products, voice recording technology, coordination of private lines and hoot & holler technology.
Server Support		The Server Support System Administrator position is required to support the production infrastructure of the business units’ Distributed Technologies systems. This includes various hardware and software platforms running under the Microsoft umbrella. Actively assist the application support teams in the resolution of escalated application issues. Work under the direction of Global Architecture Office to design and implement new services and products, providing input on architecture, system sizing, and fault tolerance. Document all system configuration details.
L1 Application Support		Application Support Analyst is responsible for providing timely and effective Desktop Application Support services and for specific trading systems applications in a Microsoft Windows NT \ 2000 \ XP networked desktop environment. Close coordination for problem identification, trouble resolution and project execution with the Application Development team. Proactively monitor applications to identify problems, outages, and failures. Resolve applications failures and understand the root cause through analysis, investigation, and duplication, of the failure. Perform pre-release analysis and performance optimization testing of upgrades, User Acceptance Testing and new application releases.
Senior Oracle DBA		The Database Administrator position is charged with supporting the applications staff with the goals of developing and implementing well designed relational databases, promoting data sharing, defining data redundancy, and in some cases acting as the information steward for corporate data. This will be performed under the direction and policy outlined by the Global Architecture Office. Provide technical database development expertise for all Oracle systems including administration and performance tuning of Oracle objects and applications. Conduct formal design review sessions for all new Oracle databases. Recommend design enhancements and document results. Produce technical documentation on topics such as Oracle database design, current database schema's and corporate data management.
Senior UNIX / Linux Admin		Configure the layout of UNIX / Linux hardware, software and application components. Work with Information Technology Product Managers to design and implement new services and products, providing input on architecture, system sizing, and fault tolerance as it related to hardware / software running on the UNIX / Linux platforms. They are also responsible to ensure that documentation on process, procedures, and system configurations are available and updated on a regular basis. Actively assist the application support teams in the resolution of escalated application issues.
