Accounting Manager-NYC –Salary range $80-100K

Responsibilities:

The Accounting Manager will report directly to a Divisional Controller and will be responsible for the following:

• Monthly closing of general ledger, inclusive of preparation and entry of journal entries; account reconciliations; inter-company analyses.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly balance sheet and income statement analyses and reports for management.
• Review and analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Assisting in the supervision of the junior accountant(s), as well as the Payables, Receivables and Payroll functions.
• Assisting in all aspects of Corporate responsibilities, including preparing and maintaining supporting documentation needed for management and Board of Directors reporting, as well as regulatory reporting and compliance (i.e., 10-K and 10-Q filings).

Requirements:

• BS/BA in Accounting or Finance
• CPA strongly preferred
• 2-3 yrs experience in public accounting experience preferred or 5 years in corporate accounting
• Must be proficient with MS Excel and Word and comfortable learning new software packages
• Knowledge of Solomon Accounting and MAS 90 Software a plus; including report writing skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral
• Can excel both in a team and independent environment
• Demonstrates a professional and adaptable demeanor while interacting with staff, clients and vendors
