Advent Application Specialist/Developer

Base - 100 or so depending on talent

> PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

> Candidate would be part of a small team providing IT support for

> the Private Investment Management Division of the Investment

> Management Division. Candidate should have 2-5 years technical

> experience supporting Advent Axys and Advent Moxy. Candidate should

> have a strong programming background preferably with a scripting

> language such as Perl.

>

> RESPONSIBILITIES

> Work as part of a small team supporting the automation, including

> overnight batch processing, for the PIM implementation of Advent Axys

> and Moxy. Candidate will be responsible for miscellaneous Moxy

> end-user support.

> * Candidate will assist with the oversight of the general health

> of numerous Windows Servers supporting Axys and Moxy (working with the

> SA team).

> * Candidate must be able to work independently to design and build

> complete applications.

> * Perform analysis of existing programs and rewrite to improve

> performance, scalability, and/or functionality.

> * Ability to balance support and development roles

> * Ability to cope with demanding and dynamic business expectations

>

>

> REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

> Advent Axys

> Advent Moxy

> FIX messaging for Moxy

> Strong MS Windows knowledge

> Strong programming skills preferably with Perl (on the MS

> Windows platform)

> MS SQL - for Moxy Support (not as a DBA)

>

> DESIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

> Autosys or similar Job Scheduling software

>

> OTHER DESIRED SKILLS

> Good communication skills

> Ability to work under pressure

> Initiative

>

> DESIRED WORK EXPERIENCE

> Portfolio Accounting and Financial experience is critical

>
