Application Support Analyst - 80 > base for the right talent

> Not desktop support role, needs financial exp, training exp a plus

> In NYC

> Responsibilities:

> Manage projects including application rollouts and training, software

> upgrades and other analysis.

> Project manager for specific applications. Responsible for the

> tracking of metrics and liaison between business and technology units.

>

> Provide telephone and on-site support to all Investment Management

> users in New York for order entry, market data and other proprietary

> IMD specific applications.

> Provide telephone support and limited on-site support to all

> Investment Management users in Branch offices for order entry, market

> data and other proprietary IMD specific applications.

> Become fluent in all Order Entry, Market Data, Portfolio Management

> and Investment Management Technology applications and be able to

> create documentation and provide user training.

> Develop ability to diagnose problems over the telephone and solve them

> remotely, whenever possible.

> Become familiar with remote diagnostic tools.

> Prepare documentation (on-line, web based, CBT and hard copy),

> whenever necessary.

> Conduct integration testing for all new applications.

> Ensure that the Application Support Desk is covered from 7:30 AM to

> 5:30 PM.

> Must be able to travel to remote branches to rollout new workstations

> and applications and to provide training in all relevant applications.

> Develop necessary skills so that the training can occur in person or

> via telephone / web for remote sites.

> Position located on Park Avenue, business attire required.

> Requirements:

> Undergraduate degree required, with experience in securities industry

> or knowledge of Financial Services Industry.

> Understanding of financial concepts, fixed income and equity products,

> including measures of return, methods of analysis, order entry and the

> ability to discuss these concepts with the Sales force and Money

> Managers.

> Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office and Web based technology.

> Experience with market data applications.

> Project management experience

> Excellent communication skills. Ability to interact with the user

> base, development teams and other technical groups

> Extremely strong people skills and excellent user and telephone

> support skills.

> Must be able to travel, both domestically and internationally

> (approximately 15% - 20%)

> Some night and weekend hours are required
