Job Description:	Role: Business Continuity Planning/Disaster Recovery (BCP/DR) Project Manager Consultant: Rate open Reporting: Head of Telecommunications Location: Midtown Manhattan List of skills in the order of importance: DR/BCP experience Project manager Great verbal and written skils Servers (key) Applications (key) Data networks (helpful) Description: · Complete project management of the BCP/DR initiative · Establishing policies and procedures related to BCP/DR · Create and maintain global BCP/DR plans and repositories · Interacting with senior business partners on a regular basis · Gathering detailed business unit requirements · Interfacing with technology groups to establish solutions · Creation and maintenance of BCP/DR budgets · Gathering and communicating infrastructure requirements · Facilitating all phases of implementation in the new DR site · Management of all site activities as it relates to Information Technology · Lead development and execution of test plans Required Experience: · 3-5 years experience defining, shaping and implementing BCP/DR policy and process within a large multi site global organization · Experience interacting and advising clients on BCP/DR policy and negotiating through to desired result · Proven PM with analysis, implementation, and negotiating skills · Deep understanding of BCP/DR at both technical and business level · In depth risk assessment and solution management skills - strong problem solver · Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within and outside the organization, including senior management and technical teams; good listening and consultative skills · Excellent written and presentation skills, including the ability to clarify and simplify technical aspects to audiences; keen attention to detail · Comfortable working effectively in a rapidly changing environment
