The Director, Research-Sterilization scientist will lead a multifunctional organization that designs systems and processes for product sterilization. The Director will have the following responsibilities: Develop and implement strategic and operational plans for the organization; Set goals for team, which align to strategies developed by Senior Management to ensure long-range and short-term business strategies are implemented; Communicate and exhibit leadership to embed this vision throughout the department; Drive ongoing operational improvements and foster innovation while nurturing a recognized Core Technical Competency (CTC) in sterilization sciences; Partner with manufacturing facilities in implementing systems, and with business and regulatory functions in preparing applicable sections for regulatory filings (i.e., INDs, NDAs, PMAs, BLAs, etc.); Assist in product stewardship activities including manufacturing support and product investigations; Represent the Company externally as the sterilization science leader, including presenting product and/or program data. There may be the opportunity to interact directly with regulatory agencies.

Candidate Must Have :
* Required to have an advanced degree in microbiology, biomechanical engineering, mechanical engineering, food science or related field. Consideration will be given to non-Ph.D candidates with demonstrated technical expertise and experience.
* Requires 5-8 years in an industrial position practicing sterilization science with experience managing individuals and groups.
* Demonstrated excellence and track record developing individuals and organizations in key core technical competencies-sterilization.
