The Director of Technical Services is responsible for developing and leading a group of 20+ employees responsible for technical operations that assure the quality of solid and sterile dosage form commercial and clinical supply manufacturing activities. Provides leadership and project management for technology transfer, process investigations, scale-up, process validation, and optimization of sterile and solid dosage forms spanning the entire product life-cycle. Responsible for strategic plan development and implementation as well as development of systems to ensure batch production records are initiated and released in a timely manner. Responsible for development of meaningful metrics that serve as the basis for how the group is managed.

Qualifications include BS in Engineering, Pharmacy or Chemistry with 20+ years of experience or MS or Ph.D. with 10+ years relevant experience. Must have experience leading technical services/operations, process development, and/or engineering support activities and at least 5 years experience in solid or sterile dosage form manufacturing. Strong project management experience initiating and leading technology transfer initiatives both internally and with 3rd party manufacturing partners essential. Experience with liquid/semi-solid dosage forms and in providing facilities engineering, maintenance, and/or metrology support is a plus.

* Minimum of BS degree
* Dependent on degree, 10-20 years of related experience
* 5+ years of solid or sterile dosage form manufacturing
* Strong project management experience initiating and leading technology transfer initiative
* Experience leading technical services/operations, process development, and/or engineering support activities
