The Loans Syndications and Trading team is seeking an exceptional application development candidate well versed in software programming and design to help build our strategic servicing and trading platform. This is a growing business in NY, London and Asia. The ideal candidate will have 5 years programming experience and demonstrate proficiency in multiple technologies such as C++, Java, Perl, XML, along with other computer languages. Relational database knowledge strongly desirable. A working knowledge of finance, fixed income securities and risk management tools is a plus. Candidates must demonstrate excellent analysis and problem-solving skills, should possess superior communications skills both written and oral and be comfortable interacting with different areas of the firm.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Design and develop new servicing/trading system in C++/UNIX, Sybase and in a proprietary Derivatives Trading and Risk Management)
-Enhance existing feeds to support Firm’s ledger and P/L flows.
-Research and resolve complex support issues as a way to learn the business.
-Build reports for users.
-Interact with other Technologists, Controllers, Operations Analysts and Strategists.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
-3+ years experience in software development.
-Computer Science or related degree.
-Java and User Interface programming.
-UNIX/C++ development skills.
-Solid relational Database skills. Sybase preferred.
-Strong team player.
-Strong problem solver.
-Highly motivated.
-Good communicator.
-Financial industry experience a huge plus.
