Project Lead/VP -Investment Management Tech - NYC IMD - can get to 125 base for right talent

Must have strong management experience and yet still have hands on tech experience

Looking for individual who will be responsible for providing the technical directions in architecting/implementing systems that fits in the strategic view of IMD technology direction and infrastructure. The person will be responsible for shaping up the Data & Information Architecture framework that contains processing of data from multiple sources, a reporting data store and suite of services to serve the reporting applications. The person will also be responsible for interfacing with business, project managers and business analysts in determining strategies, budgeting, resources, requirement gatherings and analysis.

Specific Responsibilities:

* Provide technology directions to build strategic information architecture for IMD.

* Oversee the architecture, design, development, implementation and maintenance of the systems.

* Participate in requirement gathering & analysis discussions with business, business analysts and project managers

* Prepare project plans and status reports for projects; and provide updates to management

* Help in resource estimates (hardware, software & people), projections and budgeting

* Interface with various different teams within IMD and other departments

* Interface with vendors

* Coordinate QC, User Acceptance Testing and Regression for projects

* Working closely with teams in NY and India

Essential Requirements:

* Minimum of 14 or more years of experience including design,

development, implementation and maintenance of large scale projects

using tools and technologies including Java, J2EE and related

technologies

* Extensive knowledge of Financial Industry (FI) business

(Different types of securities, trading, trade processing etc)

* Experience of Design patterns & Object Oriented Approach is

required

* Knowledge of JMS and/or TIBCO Messaging experience

* Knowledge XML, XML Schema, X-Path, X-Query etc

* Experience with Weblogic

* Good understanding of data warehousing and information

architecture

* Good understanding of data modeling, architecture, analysis

* Working knowledge of RDBMS / SQL

* Knowledge of Unix/Linux, CVS, ANT building tools etc

* Aware of latest technology trends in the industry

* Experience in requirement gathering and understanding

* The position requires excellent written & verbal communication

skills and presentation skills with the ability to interact and

influence variety of customers, users and stakeholders

* Team player and proven ability to work under pressure and meet

project dates

* Adopt best practices in his/her work in accordance with Lehman

best practices for design and implementation.

* Demonstrated leadership of multidiscipline, high performance

work teams/groups and an established track record of leading technical

staff through the project development life-cycle phases

* Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership

with exceptional abilities in relationship management

* Strong organizational skill and familiarity with project

management and application system life cycle

* Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills
