This position goes to 120K + bonus and is located in Downtown Chicago. There are 4 functions to this position. 1) Development / Release Validation- This Senior Technologist is responsible for making sure that the releases are in 100% working order before they are sent to the Professional Services department to be sent on to the client. The technologist will install all of the features in the release and validate that they are in working order. 20-30% of the position will require working with Java and Oracle to fix bugs and resolve issues within the product architecture. 2) Internal Customer Relationship Management- This technologist will act as a support resource to Application Consultants in the field who are installing, implementing and configuring the product at client site. They will fix bugs and troubleshoot issues at a high level. They will work as a liaison between the Application Consultants and the R&D group in terms of resolving said issues. 3) Product Management- Technologist will work to understand the nuances of client scenarios in order to better prepare releases and product management going forward. The technologist will work with Professional Services and R&D to bring new functionality to the clients. 4) Special Projects- The technologist will work with the pre-sales initiative to create quick-turn solutions for prospective clients.

Job Description:	TECHNICAL MANAGER (Development Liaison): ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Development Project Lifecycle Management Receives and Validates Dev Releases prior to handover to PS. Diagnoses Dev Release Issues and streamlines release process. Leverages knowledge and creativity to generate solutions to ensure seamless delivery of Development releases to Professional Services and Marketing Organizes and participates in Release Content Sessions for PS and Marketing. Takes initiative for improvement of products, processes and systems; participate in design and code reviews; identifies business risks; escalates issues when necessary. Internal Customer Relationship Management Develops and Maintains relationships with key business drivers and key customer satisfaction drivers in the organization. Engages in day-to-day relationship building with PS, Sales and Marketing Assists in propagating software engineering best practices across the organization. Participates in Patch Reviews to ensure adoptability within Dev Releases Acts as a Technical Expert in Customer situations requiring Dev Expertise. Product Management Interfaces with Product Management to understand future direction. Feedbacks to Development New Use Case Scenarios discovered through interaction with Product Management, PS, Sales and Marketing. Participates in POC de-briefing to understand Dev Impact and documents the impact in terms of enhancements, features, performance, etc. Special Projects Leverages product knowledge and creativity to generate solutions for all adhoc development requests originating due to Prospect deals, Custom Engagements, and Quick turn-around situations. Leads development of such solutions and ensures that such solutions are incorporated back into the product releases. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILL SET: · BS or an equivalent combination of training and experience · Field of Study: CS, IS, Engineering, Math or Business · Has a propensity to be a 'Generalist'. · Demonstrated product and technology application knowledge/expertise especially ERP, Java and SQL. · Skilled at working in virtual teams and influencing others to implement specific strategies. · Team player. · Relationship building skills. · Good communications skills. · Highly Articulate.
