Investment Management Technology

Project/Position Description

Candidate would take a lead role in the development of a system to

monitor events, capture metrics, and report progress on the monthly

production of client financial statements. The candidate would be

integrally involved in both front-end and back-end design and

implementation. Ideal candidate should have significant web-based GUI

and database design skills, as well as experience in ETL or other

methods of data exchange.

Responsibilities:

- Database Schema design & implementation

- Front-end design & implementation

- Interface with business analysts as needed to refine or clarify

requirements

- Interface with technical teams and infrastructure groups

- Document technical components

- Unit testing of the solution

- Performance & Tuning

- Support of QC team and end-users in testing phases

- Ongoing support and product enhancements once in production

Technical Requirements:

* Minimum 8 years building systems

* Strong Java J2EE

* Weblogic

* XML, HTML & Javascript (DHTML & Ajax experience a plus )

* Soap/Web Services (on consumer side. Provider side a plus)

* Strong Linux/Unix

* ETL (Informatica a plus)

* Strong RDBMS skills (DB2 a plus, Sybase or Oracle)

* Financial Experience a plus

* BS in Computer Science

* Strong communication skills

* Involvement in all phases of project lifecycle

* Self-starter, motivated, and able to cope with requirement shift

* Active in design, not just code to spec
