Position Description Lead Software Engineer/Designer to join a Wealth Management development team based in Rockville, MD. We are seeking a technology expert who possesses deep understanding of developing enterprise wide web based applications. In this State of the Art environment you will be called on to take the lead and contribute to the continual and new technical development of the Wealth Management applications product line. You are the successful candidate because you will use your creative engineering skills to analyze, develop and design effective solutions. You have a keen eye for detail and a dedicated attitude that adapts to both independent and collaborative projects. You have a deep understanding and ability to apply OOP based analysis, design, processes and techniques. You are very experienced developing C++, COM, C#/.NET, SQL applications combined with UML modeling. Full development life cycle for analysis, design, development, documentation, and testing. Lead code reviews and ensuring quality of code at all times. Ability to provide estimations, risk assessments, and meet deliverables in a timely manner. Be able to produce technical design documentations using UML modeling. Ability to evaluate and assess design options. Be able to mentor and serve in a leadership role. Web-based solutions experience. Strong communication skills. History as strong team player who is able to work well across all groups: project manager, development, database, product management, and quality assurance. Demonstrable strong problem solving and analytical skills Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field (Masters and certifications a plus) Required Skills C++, COM, .NET, C#, SQL Oracle experience .Remoting / Web Service Object Oriented Analysis/Design/Development UML / Modeling Tool Software Development Methodology Application profiling and tuning Design Patterns Windows 2000 Server / Windows 2003 Server / IIS Plus Skills XSLT, Javascript, CSS, FOP
