Position / Title Senior Informatica Developer for transaction cost analysis data pre-processing

Position Description

The person will be responsible for developing new Informatica mappings and workflows to pre-process client equity trade data, and producing a file suitable for loading into the core TCA application

Applications are:

TCA (Transaction Cost Analysis) is an ITG-developed tool for post-trade transaction cost analysis for the stock market.

Responsibilities of the Initial Assignment (What will the person be doing?)

· Responsibility for analysis, design and implementation of new Informatica mappings

· Re-implement existing shell and SQL data processing scripts in Informatica

· Provide guidance to existing staff members on Informatica best practices, environment setup and architecture

Essential Technical Knowledge / Skills

What level of expertise is needed? 1 = Familiar With 3 = Working Knowledge of 5 = Expert

· Ability to Architect & Design ETL mappings and workflows(5)

· Hand-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter, specifically mapplets, advanced transformations, reusable sessions, worklets and scheduling. (5)

· Experience with handling flat file sources (5)

· Experience with data processing of order management system trade data (4)

· RDBMS data processing and manipulation concepts using the SQL language (4)

· Experience with Sybase ASE and Sybase IQ (4)

· Familiarity with Oracle and MS SQL Server (3)

· Experience with large-scale web-based reporting applications (3)

· Working experience in the financial market and knowledge of terminology and business processes (4)

· Ability to work directly with clients and business users (4)

· Windows environment (3)

Other Desired Skills / Experience

· Ability to work directly with sales support and clients to define and implement business logic.

· Ability to create creative solutions to problems, with particular emphasis on the trade processing.

Will this position include production support responsibilities? To what extent?

The person will be required to provide second-line support when required, including occasional after-hours support.
