Experienced HR person to handle employee relations for union and non-union employees. This position will be focused on union avoidance activities throughout facilities worldwide as well as handling labor relations issues in a unionized environment.

This position is located at our headquarters in East Hartford, CT and will require extensive travel to other locations worldwide.

This position will assist in developing and executing HR strategies to advance business objectives, continuously improve human resources processes, work special projects for HR leadership and provide high quality HR products and services. Other Duties will include, but are not limited to:
* provide direction and guidance to line management regarding employee relation issues, performance management and employee fulfillment activities.
*assess local facility employee relations climates at satellite locations; establish / implement plans to maintain management represented status at locations where appropriate
*work with the labor relations organizations across the organization on project related items and contract negotiations.
* interpret human resource policies, procedures and methods of administration and recommend appropriate courses of action to management.
* prepare and audit HR reports and metrics and ensure strong linkage to established goals.
* provide advice and counsel to employees and management on workplace questions and issues.

Candidate Must Have :
* At least three years of experience in a manufacturing environment as an HR Manager
* 10+ years experience
* 5+ years experience with union avoidance

Minimum 10 years of progressively more challenging HR experience in a manufacturing / overhaul and repair environment with a strong performance culture. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary. Must be a self-starter and possess strong leadership, analytical thinking, organizational and teamwork skills. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask are also necessary.
Candidate must have 3 years in a manufacturing / overhaul and repair environment as an HR generalist or manager supporting employees traditionally in hourly compensated positions
