A. Technical Expectations/Professional Practices:

1. Candidates must have good technical skills. Experience building data interfaces would be highly desirable.

2. An understanding of UNIX environments is required. Working knowledge of Windows environments is highly desirable.

3. Candidates must have strong SQL skills. Experience with Oracle 10G, Sybase and/ or SQL server is required.

4. A strong working knowledge of Perl Object Oriented development techniques is required. Knowledge of XML, XSLT, ASP, .NET, DTS would all be highly desirable.

5. Candidates must be able to focus on solving business issues using technology as the tool. Their technology skills are important, but their ability to address business issues is key.

6. Candidates must have solid problem solving skills. They will be required to research problems reported by their user community to determine if an actual problem exists or additional training is required. When actual problems exist, they need to, as appropriate, recommend workarounds until an actual resolution can be implemented.

7. Candidates must have knowledge of the financial services industry, its products and practices, and a strong interest in further development and learning.

I. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

1. A minimum of 1 year experience in a corporate environment. Experience in the financial services industry or as a consultant to the financial services industry or hedge fund experience is extremely desirable.

2. Must possess excellent oral and written communications skills.

3. Some US and global travel will be required.

4. A business or computer science Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution is desired.

This position focuses on designing, developing, implementing and maintaining data interfaces between the company and Prime Brokers, Counterparties, Banks Clients and third party systems/ providers. It will entail supporting both a legacy application, and it’s Front to Back application. Working with a global team of Broker Liaisons, Data Delivery Support people and Developers, this individual will be responsible for aspects of the data interfaces for clients located around the world.
