We have two openings to build a global equity historical market database in relational format for research and production support of my group (Equity Quantitative Research group) and, possibly, other groups. I will manage these people currently, but after the project is completed they may migrate under another manager.

Here’re more details on the positions.

Position: Data Analyst.

Job description: support historical market database in relational format (Sybase/Oracle); support file transfers, perform script development, conduct data problem investigations.

Skills: Linux/Unix, strong knowledge of relational databases (Sybase/ Oracle would be a plus), scripting languages (Perl would be a plus), any experience with equity market data is a big plus; strong communication and analytical skills.

Education: bachelor or master degrees in a technical field.

Salary: $150-200K, subject to qualification and experience.
