Job Description:

Title: Manager, Internal Controls

Essential Duties:

The primary purpose of this job is to document and assess internal controls over financial reporting as a part of The company's ongoing Sarbanes Oxley compliance efforts. This includes obtaining a broad understanding of the Company's functions and business segments, as well as having a deep knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley best practices.

Document The company's internal controls under Sarbanes Oxley, design procedures to test the controls

Test The company's internal controls under Sarbanes Oxley

Evaluate internal control deficiencies, propose remediation to management, monitor implementation of remediation plans

Perform other projects for Sarbanes Oxley implementation as required and assist in managing The company's automated Sarbanes Oxley compliance tool

Manage and review work of outside consultants as required

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

This position will work with the guidance of the Assistant Director and Director of the department

This position will supervise the efforts of external consultants as required

This position will supervise planning and execution of test work, as well as communicating results to operational managers

This position must use judgment in evaluating the design and effectiveness of internal controls, and the results of test work

Expertise in documenting and evaluating internal controls

Qualifications:

Extensive knowledge of the Sarbanes Oxley Act of 2002 and internal control framework

Prior experience in implementing Sarbanes Oxley compliance projects

Bachelors degree in audit, accounting or finance

Three years accounting, auditing or finance experience

CPA or CIA certification preferred

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to manage staff

Self starter who can work with minimal supervision

Knowledge of Microsoft office software
