Job Description:	Controller Position Summary An environmentally-responsible planning, development, and project management real estate company is looking for an experienced Controller to provide management of the Accounting and Finance functions for our growing firm. The Controller will report to the Chief Financial Officer and will work closely with and provide support to the Studio Directors, Management Committee and others at the company. Position Requirements BS in Business Administration, preferably Accounting CPA/MBA preferred Seven to ten years experience in commercial real estate accounting Excellent people skills, good communication skills (both oral and written), and strong supervisory skills Excellent technology skills (Excel, Word, etc.) Knowledge of Timberline, including job costing and Yardi Experience in real estate development, construction accounting, project financing and financial pro formas Ability to work in a collaborative team environment Exposure to real estate tax accounting preferred Primary Responsibilities Manage the Accounting and Finance staff for a multi-location company, including the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, job costing and cash management functions Manage the production of timely and accurate monthly management reports including studio budget variance reports and project budget variance reports Implement consolidated reporting policies and procedures for Satellite offices Enhance and simplify our various technology tools to increase efficiencies and reduce costs Manage and streamline the annual Budget process Manage the preparation of year end work files to be incorporated in tax return filings Support the various Studio Directors in the execution of their respective Business Plans
