Overview The Technology Manager is responsible for leading a technology team in the design, implementation, and maintenance of high-end/high quality web applications. This includes long term projects, resource planning and management as well as day to day hands on management and coordination. 2. Responsibilities Lead implementation of strategic and tactical technology solutions to support client's business needs Lead assessment of client technology needs, and research and determination of appropriate technology implementations Scope, estimate and schedule projects and technology solutions Manage schedule, budget and all technical resources on a project; track and resolve all technical issues Lead creation of technical documentation Ensure proper quality assurance process Serve as the main technology liaison with clients and third party vendors; manage technology relationships and client expectations Facilitate between technical and non technical team members Provide technology management guidance, leadership and mentoring to clients Collaborate with internal and external technology resources on all levels Provide leadership on ongoing evaluation and improvement of internal technology procedures, process and best practices Track industry trends on relevant existing and emerging technologies and practices, provide summaries, educate clients and internal resources Identify business opportunities with new and existing clients; assist on new business development 3. Skills + Experience Experience leading implementation of n-tier web applications Experience leading technology assessments and implementation of technology solutions Experience with project scoping and scheduling Experience with managing project schedules, budgets, and resources Experience with one or more of the following programming platforms: Java/J2EE, C#/ASP/.net Experience with one or more of the following Java/J2EE application servers: Weblogic, Websphere, ATG Dynamo, Tomcat, Sun Application Server Experience with one or more content management systems., Teamsite, Documentum, Vingnette, Stellent a plus Experience with one or more of the following database platforms: Oracle, SQL Server, mySQL Experience with software development and project management best practices; Development methodologies, processes, design patterns, version control, risk management, etc Experience with interactive marketing vendors, practices and technologies Ability to communicate effectively Ability to effectively assess and solve technical problems Ability to work on a multitude of concurrent projects Prior experience in professional services and/or interactive marketing a plus Related degrees and certifications a plus
