Job Description:	DEPARTMENT: Shared - Private Client Technology and Institutional Investment Management REQ #4049 FUNCTIONAL TITLE: Help Desk Analyst SALARY: $80-90K POSITION OVERVIEW/MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE: Position will be to provide 2nd level support for the enterprise account opening application used by our Private Client and Institutional lines of business. There is a 1st level help desk that handles the initial call and resolves some basic issues. When they are unable to handle the issue, it will be escalated to this position, which will be responsible for investigating the issue and providing a resolution, which usually requires examining the data (through SQL queries) and walking through the code. They will need to work with the development team on some issues and provide input on how the application can be improved. The position also requires the ability to write ad-hoc SQL queries to respond to data requests from business users. REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS & WORK EXPERIENCE Knowledge of C#, .NET , ASP.NET, HTML, XML Understanding of stored procedures and SQL Queries with Microsoft SQL Server Experience in examining and understanding C# code. Experience solving user problems Able to work independently DESIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS: Experience in the Financial or Banking industry EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree/Liberal Arts (Management/Finance/Marketing) DESIRED: Recruiter's Notes: The manager has indicated that the main responsibility of this role will be to provide day-to-day phone/email support for a heavily used application. The successful candidate will be sitting with the developers, and fielding issues from internal users. Candidates should have good database skills as they will be dong a lot of queries. They will really need to be able to READ code more so than write it, and there maybe some QA work as well.
