Job Description:	Job Duties This newly created position within the Controllers Organization is a result of the growth group of companies. The individual will manage a staff of 3-4 individuals and will be responsible for developing and growing the group. The individual will be responsible for the preparation of monthly financial reports for several regulated and unregulated legal entities, monthly income statements, the year-end audited financial statements as well as various ad hoc projects as the need arises. The individual will at times interface directly with the front office to gain an understanding of current issues, the rest of the Business Unit Control group, as well as corporate accounting and tax. REQ Significant external financial reporting experience with between 8-12 years of professional experience with an accounting firm and / or with a major financial institution. CPA preferable. Must have experience managing small team. Must (or is a plus?) have knowledge of fixed income markets. Working knowledge of US GAAP/FASB/SEC accounting and disclosure requirements. Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills coupled with the ability to manage time effectively and meet tight deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills, detail oriented self-starter with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Advanced technical skills including MS Excel, etc.
