Ecommerce has an opening for a Web Developer. It would be nice if the person had Wall Street experience but is not a must..

Base below a $100K.

As a Special Web Projects Developer in the e-commerce group your main responsibility will be to take the lead role in managing the firm’s internal global corporate streaming media portal. You will serve as the primary technical contact for the coordination of the production of internal streaming media presentations. These presentations include daily meeting webcasts, online training modules, corporate communications, and product introductions. You will also be responsible for the development and maintenance of new and existing applications used in the production and distribution of such presentations.

Additional roles will include:
Serving as a technical expert to both the e-commerce group and other groups in providing innovative ways to leverage web-based technologies to improve business processes
Developing and maintaining multiple web applications on a variety of online properties
Liaising with various business units to gather functional and business requirements for new web applications


Required Experience
Bachelor’s Degree
2-3 years experience in web and/or multimedia design and development
Financial services experience a plus


Required Skills
Strong knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, XML, XSL, XSTL, JSP, and SQL
Strong knowledge of Windows Media streaming technologies. Experience using the Windows Media 9.0 SDK desirable.
Working knowledge of other streaming media technologies such as Flash video
Knowledge of web portal products such as Microsoft SharePoint
Solid knowledge of database administration and design (Access and SQL Server)
Knowledge of .NET technologies (C#), both for Windows and Web applications
Familiarly with web application server administration (WebLogic 8.1 and IIS)
Fluent with content creation tools such as Macromedia Dreamweaver, Macromedia Flash, Macromedia Fireworks, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, and Visual Studio .NET
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Proven ability to self-manage multiple projects across several business units and communicate directly with internal clients
Ability to think both strategically and creatively
