| Job Description: | This person will have 4 people reporting to them (2 employees and 2 consultants) Needs prior manager experience - I hope for a junior DBA manager with web knowledge or a junior Web Manager with Database knowledge. Role Snapshot: The Manager Web Administration is expected to provide continuous (24 hours a day) maintenance, monitoring and support for mission critical Web environments while acting as a project lead in designing Web and database architectures for S21 applications. This includes coordinating activities with business owners, support and infrastructure teams to accomplish objectives and goals for the implementation and on going support of companies Web environments. Responsible for leading implementation of Web and database design, capacity planning, requirements gathering and backup/recovery planning. Additionally responsible for application sizing requirements, both initial requirements and upgrades as well as the successful implementation of technologies to support these requirements. Key Responsibilities: · Manage the Web Admin Team in supporting existing environments (Prod and Dev/Test) · Design, document and communicate Web and Database architectures and solutions for S21 initiatives · Monitor production systems and provide quick & detailed analysis to management for all anomalies . Lead technical infrastructure efforts to implement S21 systems · Lead Web Team to provide maximum availability of the systems (status reports, outage summaries) · Manage all Web resources for optimal performance (Set goals & objectives, project plans, ITG tickets) · Document and present S21 Web and database technical solutions and processes (PPT presentations) . Work with IT groups and vendors to implement S21 initiatives (Project plans, technical reviews) Expectations: · Bachelors in CS, EE or related discipline required · Master in IT or Systems preferred · 15 or more years technical experience as a DBA or Web Admin with 5 as a manager on Linux and HP platforms · In depth experience with Oracle's RDBMS, iAS (9 and 10) and IBM's Websphere (6) · Certifications a + Results Expected Expected |
