Senior Systems Analyst - Oracle Financial – to 110k

Location: Lake Success, Long Island

• B.S. Degree and 5+ Years of Experience in a functional/technical support role in the specified area of expertise (see below).
• Mix of functional/technical skills should be approximately 50% functional and 50% technical
• Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
• Experienced in process strategy and re-engineering concepts and practices
• Experience with System Requirements Gathering, Analysis, Design and Development
• Guide users in formulating requirements, advises on alternatives and on the implications of new or revised processing analysis. Serve as trusted advisor to the business regarding how the system can be used to support desired business processes and requirements.
• Document functional requirements in development-ready functional specifications.
• Propose and/or recommend process and system improvements
• Conducts feasibility studies including industry best practices.
• Experienced in unit and integrated testing and preparing test scripts.
• Experienced in monitoring and resolving daily production support issues including debugging transactions as necessary
• Competence in Change Management and all phases of Project Management

Business Knowledge

• Strong understanding of finance and administrative processes and concepts including:
• Financial Reporting
• General Accounting
• Accounts Payable
• Fixed Asset Management
• Expense Purchasing
• Strong understanding of Oracle Financials modules including GL, AP, iExpense, PO, and FA.

Job Description	Candidate will be responsible for all phases of systems development including: requirements gathering, analysis and design, development, testing and deployment. The candidate will be expected to work with users to determine the scope and requirements of the system, provide estimates, and participate in the hands-on development of the application. The candidate will provide regular status reports to management. Daily production support and some weekend support will be expected of the candidate as well.
Minimum Requirement	Platforms: Windows NT, Unix (Solaris), IBM OS/390
	GUI Systems: HTML, JSP & Servlets
	Database Systems: Good knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems, such as : DB/2 (preferred), Sybase, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server
	Other Programming Skills: JAVA, Javascript, XML, EJB, Weblogic, MQ Series
	Business Knowledge: Brokerage Industry experience a plus, especially OTC Derivatives Trade Settlement & Clearance.
	Project Experience: Hands on project leadership or technical team leadership experience on mission critical distributed system development project.
	Communication Skills: Ability to work with users to gather requirements and convey this information in both verbal and written communication to other members of the development team. Ability to report to management the status of the project. Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills a must.
