Roles and Responsibilities:


Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following to insure compliance with policy, GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements:

· Develops, maintains, and enhances a strong control environment in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley

· Implements new accounting or business requirements (whether GAAP or SP&P) into the existing control environment

· Completes monthly financial statement close in accordance with GAAP, corporate time line and policies

· Reviews monthly and quarterly variance analysis to ensure the answers are complete, concise and adequate

· Oversees payable department and general ledger staff

· Special Accounting projects as required by corporate Finance

· Preparation of Tax related reporting packages

· Liaise with Brand Finance and Credit and Collections team to ensure that collections are being handled effectively and efficiently in accordance with Company policy

· Reports to a Regional Finance Director/Controller

Candidates must have 5+ years related general accounting experience (for example, closing books, reconciliations), which must include Public Accounting experience and Sarbanes-Oxley experience. Industry experience at a communications/professional services firm strongly preferred, as is knowledge of SAP. Must have CPA certification. This position requires travel and work in Manhattan and nearby Northern New Jersey.

Develop detailed system design and programming specifications on assigned project(s). Implement other tasks required for the development, implementation and continuing operation of various systems. Programs supported range from above average complexity to very complex. Supports the daily activity of the Business Areas by creating and maintaining custom reports and programs and by providing technical support for system and software issues. § Under minimal supervision, works with business partners and systems personnel to identify and develop new processes and/or systems, change current processes to enhance their effectiveness, or eliminate processes that are not justified

§ In support of this, coordinates computer system changes and development processes. Produces project documentation including formal proposals and schedules, system requirements and testing plans

§ Communicates system changes and processes to appropriate personnel, documenting any processes as necessary

§ Trouble shoots any system failures and discrepancies. Recovery solutions are evaluated, selected and implemented
