Roles & Responsibilities:

Risk Technology supports Risk Management unit, and is responsible for:

  • Development of quantitative analysis of risk to support both day-to-day and long term management of Risk and Performance.
  • Development of analytical tools to promote rapid, ad-hoc understanding of risk.
  • Development and support of risk operational infrastructure.

The person in this role must be a developer with a strong understanding of both technology and finance, preferably with market-risk experience. Should have in-depth knowledge of software lifecycle, design and development experience of writing multi-tier/distributed applications. In addition to strong technical skills, the candidate must have excellent communication/interpersonal skills and possess strong ability to work independently or as a team member.

A strong desire to learn and gain exposure to the business side of a top-tier risk management organization is critical to success in this position.

Job Requirements:

· Senior Developer:

- Ongoing design and development and maintenance of existing and new risk applications and systems.

- Must have ability to take a project from specifications to deployment.

- Understand the detail architecture and implementation of the company's applications and systems and build and expand on top of this base.

- Ability to communicate via producing documentation at all levels, client service and technical writing skills, coupled with a strong interest in further developing and integrating Trading systems knowledge with technology skills.

- Strong knowledge of and experience in supervising and executing all phases of the technology life cycle, based on proven project management and testing methodologies.

· Technical skills:

- Strong Microsoft C# development experience, C++ experience a plus.

- Strong SQL/database design and development experience.

- Hands on design and development experience. Should be able to specify coding standards and lead architecture/design reviews.

- Knowledge of technical architecture design and a good understanding of technology tools and components to reasonably argue for and against all components (middleware, database, reporting tools, etc.) in that architecture.

· Business Knowledge:

- Familiar with Market Risk: VaR, Sensitivities, and Stress Testing.

- Familiar with a broad range of asset classes: Options, Derivatives, Fixed Income

- Able to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Education:

B.S./B.A. degrees in Computer Science, or a Masters degree in Computer Science. MBA or MSc (Finance) a plus.

Production Support Lead for Calypso interviewing actively 120k base and up.

This position is responsible for leading the day-to-day Calypso production/dev/UAT environment. His or her charter is to setup and maintain existing calypso environments that provide stability, minimize and control production errors, increase client satisfaction with production operations, and provide for successful new system implementation and adoption. Most of these tasks are expected to be automated using scripts using a proactive approach

Primary Activities

Primary activities include, but are not limited to:

The Production Support Lead oversees application production for Calypso:

· Ensure the efficient, timely, and error-free implementation of all changes to the Production environment starting with the dev build to releasing to QA

· Ensure that the batches are setup correctly and are being proactively monitored and addressed as errors are reported

· Implement good practices for source control and release management

This person will hold responsibility for change management, production problem prevention, production problem resolution/troubleshooting.

This person will work closely with the Development Product Teams, Internal Client Representatives, Installation Teams, Technology Operations, and Support to achieve the objectives above.

Skills (include specific skill levels i.e degree, years of experience, industry experience, leadership)

This is a hands on leads position for someone with at least 5-7 years experience in a related position managing application production support in a mission critical, real time IT/financial production environment. This is not a pure managerial role. This position will work the existing staff both onshore and offshore offering guidance to the support personal. Experience at an established trading systems IT vendor or Brokerage firm is preferred.

This person will be required to work with various internal teams and must exhibit proven management and leadership skills. This person must be highly organized, process and detail-oriented, and customer-focused. Bachelor’s Degree in IT or Finance-related field preferred.

Position Description

The person will be responsible for developing new Informatica mappings and workflows to pre-process client equity trade data, and producing a file suitable for loading into the core TCA application

Applications are:

TCA (Transaction Cost Analysis) is an ITG-developed tool for post-trade transaction cost analysis for the stock market.

Responsibilities of the Initial Assignment (What will the person be doing?)

· Responsibility for analysis, design and implementation of new Informatica mappings

· Re-implement existing shell and SQL data processing scripts in Informatica

· Provide guidance to existing staff members on Informatica best practices, environment setup and architecture
